About
Built for communities that want real connections—not random intros.
Aphinity helps community owners, HR teams, and program organizers run reliable 1:1 introductions that people actually follow through on. Founded in 2020, Aphinity has been used by tens of thousands of members across 500+ communities on Slack, Discord, email, and more.
Why Aphinity exists
Great communities are built in moments that feel personal: a mentor reaching out, a new member being welcomed, two colleagues discovering shared interests. But running those introductions consistently is hard— especially as a community grows.
Aphinity was created to make 1:1 introductions simple, dependable, and enjoyable—so organizers can focus on the community, not spreadsheets and manual matchmaking.
What we do
Aphinity runs recurring coffee chat programs that match people based on interests, backgrounds, goals, and the context that matters to your community. It works for internal employee networking, member onboarding, mentorship programs, professional associations, and university cohorts.
Communities use Aphinity to increase retention and engagement by helping members meet the “right next person” at the right time.
Where Aphinity is used
- Virtual coffee chats for communities of a few dozen members up to thousands
- Employee networking inside companies (cross-team, onboarding, culture)
- Professional and social organizations running intentional networking
- University programs and cohorts that want stronger peer connections

The team
We’re a small, distributed team in North America (US and Canada). There are four of us, and we’re equal parts community-builders and engineers: we’ve hosted professional networking events, facilitated team-building programs inside large organizations, and built technical systems to automate meaningful introductions at work and at university.
That mix matters. Building a matching program isn’t just software—it’s understanding cadence, incentives, follow-through, and the small details that make an intro feel thoughtful.
